Cypher Wine Jelly

Wine Jelly is simple to make and adds a creative flair to a variety of dishes including appetizers, main dishes, and desserts! Get creative! Add fruit, spices, and even peppers to give your recipes an interesting flair.

Equipment

  • Large Sauce Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Cypher Red, Ethereal White, or Evanescense Rosé
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1.75 ounce package pectin powder

Instructions
 

Step 1

  • Pour a sip of wine in your Cypher wine tumbler :-)

Step 2

  • Combine wine, lemon juice, and pectin in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  • Add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Return to a rolling boil.
  • Boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat. Skim foam off the top, if necessary.

Step 3 (Optional)

  • Ladle hot jelly into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
  • Tighten 2 piece lids. Process for 5 minutes in a boiling water bath.
